Per Soompi, “Hometown Flex” is a variety show program starring Cha Tae Hyun and Lee Seung Gi touring around various cities of Korea as they meet up with celebrities who grew up there to help them introduce to the area.
Han Hyo Joo shared in an interview before her appearance that she felt a lot of pressure after deciding to appear on the program. And though she doesn’t know her way around Chungju that well, she will still try her best and do an excellent job of introducing the city.
Lee Seung Gi brought up the story of his close friendship with Han Hyo Joo after the stars met up and explained that people could see them as members of the same social circle. “We see each other often with our friends born in 1987, and we graduated from the same university. We also made our debut on the same show, and it was Nonstop.”
The singer-actor also added that Hyo Joo was nervous before coming to the show. Han Hyo Joo agreed that her presence on the show makes her worry that she began thinking that she didn’t know much about Chungju, so she started studying. Laughing, she revealed that while studying, Han Hyo Joo discovered the acreage and population of Chungju.
Lee Seung Gi expressed that some people in their place are hard to know the feeling when asked about their preconceptions about the people from Chungju. And when they were asked about the unique way the people in Chungju express themselves, Lee Beom Soo shared that when the people in their place are asked, “Do you want this? Or Do you want to eat this? They immediately answer, “’ Yes, I want it!’ as if they had been waiting to be asked.”
